The Staff Selection Commission has opened the SSC CGL 2026 application correction window from 1 July to 3 July 2026. This is your chance to fix mistakes before they cost you the exam — wrong spellings, incorrect details, and most commonly, a photo or signature that does not meet the required size.
Here is exactly what to check and how to fix the image issues in minutes, free.
What you can fix in the correction window
- Spelling of name, parents' name and date of birth (as per allowed rules)
- Category, address and other personal details
- A photo or signature that was blurry, wrongly sized, or rejected
Correct SSC CGL 2026 photo & signature size
| Item | Dimensions | Pixels | File size | Format |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Photograph | 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm | ~200 x 230 px | 20–50 KB | JPEG |
| Signature | 4.0 cm x 2.0 cm | ~140 x 60 px | 10–20 KB | JPEG |
Fix your photo and signature in 3 quick steps
1. Resize to the exact pixels
Open the Image Resizer and set the photo to ~200 x 230 px and the signature to ~140 x 60 px.
2. Compress under the KB limit
Use the Image Compressor to bring the photo to 20–50 KB and the signature to 10–20 KB, keeping both clear.
3. Make sure it is JPEG
If your file is PNG/HEIC, convert it with the Image Converter before uploading.
Also re-check your document PDF
If you need to re-upload supporting documents, combine and shrink them with the Merge PDF and Compress PDF tools so they stay under the size limit.
The bottom line
The correction window is short — 1 to 3 July. Fix your photo and signature to the exact size now using the Image Resizer and Image Compressor, double-check your details, and submit with confidence.
